A Weekend of Guided Birding in the Boreal Forest
New! The "Boreal Birding Weekend" is Center for Wildlife's' newest Regional EcoTour. This is a June 20th - June 21st 2-day learning adventure in a remote part of New England, on the southern edge of the Boreal Forest habitat - aka “North America’s baby bird factory.” Late June in this region is rich with blooming plants, pollinating insects and hungry birds.
Your Guide: Dan Gardoqui is an expert naturalist, Registered Maine Guide for & Certified Bird Guide. He has led many birding workshops, talks, walks and tours throughout New England and beyond. Dan serves as the Education & Outreach Director here at the Center for Wildlife.
Notes:
- Trip is open to adults & interested teens16 & older (limit of 8 people)
- Guided field sessions begin 6am Saturday and end at 3pm on Sunday.
- Clients are responsible for their own travel, lodging and food.
- Fee covers the the cost of two days expert guiding.
- Summer birding isn’t always comfortable. Heat, humidity and biting insects are likely. Prepare to spend time standing still, looking at birds for a while, then moving, etc.
